Supplier references
When a public contract is completed the contracting authority issues the supplier a reference with a rating. The reference register is therefore the only public source where the delivery quality of a Slovak company is recorded by a third party.
What the register contains
- Number of references and their total value
- The contracting authority that issued the reference
- Contract subject and rating
- Link to the reference document

What it is used for
A reference from a contracting authority is a verifiable rating, not a marketing claim. In supplier selection it carries different weight from a testimonial on the company website.
A lack of references for a company that has won contracts may simply mean those contracts are not finished yet – not necessarily that delivery was problematic.

How many references do you return?
A summary count and value plus the 25 most recent references with a link to the document. The full list is available in the original register.
Are ratings comparable across contracts?
Only to a degree – contracting authorities rate with differing severity. We therefore return references as records with a document link rather than averaging them into one number.
