Fields we return

Field Meaning
nace_code Classification code, e.g. 62.01.
nace_description Name of the economic activity.

What it is used for

Segment customers by industry without parsing free-text business activities. In a CRM it drives campaign targeting; in analytics it lets you compare a company against its industry average.

In risk assessment the industry is context – identical financial figures mean one thing in construction and something else in a software business.

Frequently asked questions

How is the code assigned?

It derives from the business activities recorded in the register. Where a company has several activities, the code represents the principal one.

Is this the same as SK NACE?

SK NACE is the Slovak version of the European NACE classification. The codes are compatible, so they can be used for cross-border comparison.
