Exports and formats

Data from the API is often needed by someone who does not read JSON. The same company profile is available in three formats, depending on where it is going.

JSON

The default format. A structured response whose extent you control with the scope parameter – you request only the data groups you need and do not pay for the rest.

PDF

The complete company profile typeset for print. Suited as an attachment to a file, a briefing document or evidence of which details applied on a particular day. It contains identification, officers, financial data and risk signals.

Markdown

The same content as readable text. Suited to internal documentation and above all as input for a language model – an assistant that answers questions about a company handles Markdown better than raw JSON.

Bulk export

For larger numbers of entities use batch processing. You submit a list of company IDs and collect the result in one go – no loop over the endpoint and no running into limits.

Frequently asked questions

How do I request a different format?

With the format parameter on the request: format=pdf, format=md or format=json. Without the parameter you get JSON.

Are exports billed differently?

No. The format does not affect the price; billing is per entity processed.

Can the PDF be customised?

The PDF layout is fixed. If you need your own look, take the JSON and typeset the document on your side.
