Company identification

The basic identity of an entity: who it is, where it is based, since when it exists, who acts on its behalf and what it does. These four registers form the backbone everything else hangs on.

Why one register is not enough

Slovak company identity is split across several records and none of them is complete on its own. The Register of Legal Entities covers every type of entity including sole traders and non-profits, but holds no shareholders or directors. The Commercial Register holds the detail on companies, but knows nothing about entities outside its scope.

FirmAPI merges them under a single company ID. A company detail call returns the merged view, and the source field shows which record each value came from.

What you can build on it

A company autocomplete in your form, prefilled billing details, a check that the entity still exists, or an industry assignment by NACE code for customer segmentation.
