Registered social enterprise status is granted by the Slovak Ministry of Labour. It brings advantages in public procurement and in payroll levies, so it has a material effect on how a company competes and at what cost.

What it is used for
In public procurement a contract can be reserved for registered social enterprises only. Verifying the status is then a condition of participation, not a nice-to-have.
When assessing a company the status explains a different cost structure – a social enterprise has different levy advantages and a different purpose for its profit.
