Register of Public Sector Partners

The RPVS records entities that do business with the state and, above all, their beneficial owners – the natural persons who actually profit from the business. Without registration an entity cannot trade with the state above the statutory limit.

What the register contains

  • Flag indicating whether the entity is registered
  • Beneficial owners – names and dates of birth
  • The authorised person who verified the entry
  • Date of registration and, where applicable, deletion

What it is used for

Beneficial ownership screening is part of anti-money-laundering obligations. The RPVS is the only public Slovak source that names these individuals.

If you are the contracting party, the counterparty's RPVS registration is a condition you must verify before concluding a contract above the statutory limit.

Frequently asked questions

Must every company be in the RPVS?

No. Only those receiving performance from public funds above the statutory limit. An ordinary company with no state contracts need not be registered.

Are beneficial owners the same as shareholders?

Not necessarily. A shareholder may be another company; a beneficial owner is always a natural person at the end of the ownership chain.
